چکیده

Objectives: The aim of the study was to compare efficacy and safety conventional epidural (ED) versus combined spinal (CSE) in percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) with addition opiods dexmedetomidine. Methods: This prospective, randomized, double-blinded clinical conducted patients undergoing PCNL. Group CSE had received anesthesia ED given anesthesia. Time first rescue analgesic total dose along hemodynamic parameters were compared up 24 h. Patient, surgeon satisfaction score, post-operative complications also compared. Results: from onset sensory block requirement analgesia prolonged group (218.4±18.30 min) as (210±17.88 min). (p<0.001) Mean time for postoperatively highly significant (2.42±0.49) (2.08±0.28). (p<0.0001) Total levobupivacaine required high (49.66±7.02) (45.66±3.12). In ED, score good 20 (44.44%) which significant. CSE, excellent 41 (91.1%) Post-operative both comparable (p>0.05). Conclusion: concluded that though techniques are safe efficient each having its own benefits. proven superiority over technique.

OBJECTIVE To compare the efficacy and safety of regional epidural anesthesia and general anesthesia in patients who underwent PCNL. MATERIALS AND METHODS Fifty patients submitted to percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) were randomized into two groups: Group I (N = 26) received general anesthesia and Group II (N = 24) received regional epidural anesthesia. Demographic and operative data includi...

Combined spinal-epidural versus epidural labor analgesia.

BACKGROUND Despite the growing popularity of combined spinal-epidural analgesia in laboring women, the exact role of intrathecal opioids and the needle-through-needle technique remains to be determined. The authors hypothesized that anesthetic technique would have little effect on obstetric outcome or anesthetic complications. METHODS Data were prospectively collected from 2,183 laboring wome...

Continuous spinal anesthesia versus combined spinal epidural block for major orthopedic surgery: prospective randomized study.

CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES In major orthopedic surgery of the lower limbs, continuous spinal anesthesia (CSA) and combined spinal epidural anesthesia (CSE) are safe and reliable anesthesia methods. In this prospective randomized clinical study, the blockading properties and side effects of CSA were compared with single interspace CSE, among patients scheduled for major hip or knee surgery. DESIGN...

A randomized trial comparing low-dose combined spinal-epidural anesthesia and conventional epidural anesthesia for cesarean section in severe preeclampsia.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES A prospective, randomized study was designed to compare the maternal and neonatal effects of conventional epidural anesthesia and combined spinal epidural anesthesia (CSE) for Cesarean section in severe preeclamptic patients. Additionally, two strategies in the prophylactic management of hypotension in severe preeclamptic patients were evaluated: fluid preloading or pr...
